Attorney Justin Mixon is originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Peace Corps from 1995 to 1998 in Guatemala, where he became fluent in Spanish. He was an elementary school teacher for 4 years. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2002. Justin was an Immigrant Youth Staff Attorney at non-profit HIAS Pennsylvania before opening his private Law Office in 2017. Justin lives with his wife and two sons in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
Justin believes in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and that all people and families have the right to live and work where they want.
Every year, Justin provides free legal services for pro bono cases sent from nonprofit organizations, such as HIAS Pennsylvania, Nationalities Service Center, Esperanza, Pennsylvania Immigration Coalition, Bethany Christian Services, Children and Youth Services, Philadelphia Public Defenders and Guardians Ad Litem.
Justin is grateful to the immigrant community for providing him with meaningful work as a lawyer.
